Privacy
This page explains what this website collects, why it collects it, and how to get rid of it. It is short because the site does very little.
There is no account to create here, no comment box, and nothing to log into. The only information you can hand over on purpose is your email address, and only if you type it into the subscribe form yourself.
Traffic statistics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-MNYPEXL4H9) to count visits
and see which pages get read. Google sets cookies in your browser and records things
like which pages you open, roughly what part of the world you are in, and what browser
and device you used. We read it in aggregate — to know whether an issue of the Review
found an audience, not to work out who you are.
If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes an opt-out browser add-on, and blocking third-party scripts or cookies in your browser settings will stop it just as well. Nothing on this site breaks if you do. There is no cookie banner here, so nothing is waiting on your consent before it loads — if you want the analytics off, turn it off at your end.
The mailing list
If you subscribe, we store the email address you give us. We use it for exactly one thing: sending you the Lehigh Valley Economic Review. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone else, and we do not use it to advertise other people’s products. We do not ask for your name, your employer, or anything else, because we do not need them.
Unsubscribing, and deletion
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. One click and you are off the list — no reply required, no reason needed, no survey on the way out.
Unsubscribing stops the mail. If you would rather the address were deleted outright, email ka@kaa-inc.com and say so, and we will remove it from our records.
The audio
The Economic Pulse segments on this site are streamed from WDIY 88.1 FM’s podcast feed; the audio files themselves live on NPR’s content delivery network, not on our server. When you press play, your browser connects to NPR directly, and their servers will see your IP address and which segment you played. That exchange is between you and them, under their privacy terms, and we never see it. Nothing loads or plays until you press play.
What we do not do
We do not embed social media trackers or pixels, we do not sell or share your details with anyone, and we do not attempt to link your visits to your email address. We hold no certifications and claim no compliance program; this page is a description of how the site behaves, not a legal instrument.
Changes
If any of the above changes, this page changes with it, and the date below moves.
